Support shaped around you — guided by what your process genuinely calls for.
You may not know where to start or have all the answers — and that’s fine. You don’t have to.
You may not even know what kind of support you need, how to explain what is currently happening, or what the first step should look like. You may simply know that something needs to change while feeling as though you have been standing in the same place for far too long.
And sometimes the problem is not that you have not tried hard enough. Sometimes you have been trying so hard for so long that what you need is not another demand to push harder, but an opportunity to release some of the pressure.
I often describe it through a very simple image.
Imagine a small paper boat resting on the water. Sometimes all it needs is a little push to set it moving, and once it begins, the water can carry it forward. But if we force it too much, it may be crushed or simply sink.
People can be much the same.
Life itself already brings enough pressure. Sometimes, instead of trying harder, what we really need is a quiet moment in which we can feel noticed and understood — and begin noticing ourselves too: our emotions, our needs and what may have been asking for our attention for far too long. From there, even gentle support in the right direction can make a meaningful difference.
There are times when moving forward begins not with doing more, but with easing the overwhelm, creating enough inner space to think clearly again and allowing the next step to become visible.
That is something I can help you with.
You do not have to arrive with a clear plan or know which method is right for you. We can begin exactly where you are. Together, we will look at what is happening now, what feels most important and what may be making it difficult to move in the direction you want to go.
I will bring my attention, experience, perspective and guidance to the process while respecting your pace, your boundaries and your right to make your own choices. What I ask from you is not perfection, certainty or constant strength — only a genuine willingness to participate and move through the process together.
You will not be expected to find your way through it alone. I will be there beside you — helping you recognise the next step, supporting you when the way feels unclear and gradually helping you trust your own ability to continue forward.
From there, we can decide together what form of support is most appropriate.
Life Coaching
A personalised space in which we can explore what is happening in your life, recognise the patterns influencing your choices and create greater clarity around what you want to change or move towards.
Coaching may be particularly valuable when you are facing a decision, navigating a transition, questioning your direction or finding yourself repeatedly returning to the same difficulties despite understanding them intellectually.
Our conversations are purposeful, but they are also human. There is room for honesty, uncertainty, humour, reflection and the questions you may not yet have found the words to ask.
Building trust and a genuine sense of rapport is an important part of this process. I want you to feel heard, respected and able to speak openly, without fear of judgement or pressure to present yourself in any particular way.
I also do not work to a rigid session cut-off. Our time together is guided by the process rather than the clock, allowing space to speak, reflect, pause, absorb and work through what has emerged without the pressure of having to stop simply because a set number of minutes has passed. Where something significant has opened during a session, my intention is to bring that part of the work to a safe and grounded point before we finish. Session length may therefore vary, but the fee does not. I reserve enough time for each session to unfold without the pressure of a fixed 45- or 60-minute limit, allowing you space to speak, reflect and process at a pace that feels natural to you.
However, our work is not limited to conversation alone. Where appropriate, we translate insight into practical steps, observations and tools that can be carried into everyday life and gradually become part of the way you respond, decide and move forward.
Wellbeing is not simply the absence of stress or difficulty. It is also the way you relate to yourself while life is happening.
Our work may also explore emotional balance, resilience, boundaries, stress, self-worth, everyday habits and the ways in which you respond to pressure or changing circumstances. The intention is not to create an unrealistic state in which nothing affects you, but to help you develop greater awareness and a more supportive relationship with yourself when it does.
Transformational Hypnotherapy
Sometimes understanding something consciously is not enough to change the way we automatically feel, react or behave.
Transformational hypnotherapy allows us to work more directly with subconscious processes that may sit beneath familiar emotional responses, beliefs and behaviours. It is approached gently and intentionally, with each session and script prepared around your individual experience rather than taken from a standard formula.
Before the hypnotherapy itself begins, we take time to understand what you want to change, what outcome feels meaningful to you and which words, images or phrases resonate most strongly with your experience. These personal cues can then be woven into the session so that the process reflects your own language rather than a generic script.
You remain an active participant throughout the process. The purpose is not to take control away from you, but to create conditions in which deeper awareness and new responses can become more accessible.
Hypnosis does not mean losing consciousness or surrendering control. You remain aware, able to respond and free to stop the process at any point.
The process usually begins with guided relaxation and focused attention, allowing you to settle gradually into a calm and receptive state. The depth of hypnosis may vary depending on the person, the purpose of the session and what feels appropriate in the moment — there is no single level you need to reach for the work to be meaningful.
A Process That Continues Beyond the Session
Our work does not exist only within the time we spend together.
Depending on your process, I may suggest reflections, observations, journaling, affirmations, breathing practices or other carefully chosen exercises between sessions. These are not tasks simply for the sake of completing them. They are opportunities to notice how what we explore together appears in your real life and to gradually turn awareness into something you can experience and use for yourself.
I often think of this part of the process a little like learning to drive. During the lessons, you learn to understand what is happening, practise new responses and gradually build confidence. But it is through using those skills beyond the lesson that they become increasingly natural and eventually your own.
The same applies here.
My intention is not for you to depend on my guidance indefinitely. It is for what you discover about yourself — and the tools you develop along the way — to become something you can increasingly recognise, access and use independently.
Workshops & Training
I also create and deliver workshops and development sessions for groups, organisations and communities.
Rather than offering generic presentations, I prefer to understand the people, context and purpose behind each event and shape the content accordingly. Areas may include wellbeing, self-awareness, confidence, resilience, personal development, communication and leadership.
The aim is to create a space in which people are not simply given information, but encouraged to think, participate, reflect and take something meaningful back into their own lives or working environments.
Speaking Engagements
I have been invited to speak at events, panels and public conversations exploring themes connected with wellbeing, self-awareness, resilience, personal growth and the ways in which we understand ourselves and respond to life.
My approach to speaking reflects the same philosophy as my individual work: I am interested not only in delivering information, but in creating the kind of moment that makes someone pause, recognise something differently and continue thinking after the conversation has ended.
For Organisations
Supporting people within the environments in which they work, learn and grow.
The wellbeing of individuals and the wellbeing of an organisation are deeply connected. People do not leave their emotions, pressures, personal experiences or need for meaning at the door when they enter a workplace, university or school.
Equally, wellbeing cannot be created through isolated initiatives alone. Culture, communication, leadership, belonging and the everyday experience of the people within an organisation all matter.
I work with universities, schools, businesses, charities and community organisations to create support that reflects their particular environment, people and priorities. Rather than beginning with a predetermined package, I prefer to understand what is actually needed and build the work from there.
This may include:
- student wellbeing and personal development,
- employee wellbeing and resilience,
- leadership coaching and development,
- team development,
- tailored wellbeing workshops,
- professional speaking and facilitated discussions,
- confidence and self-awareness programmes,
- stress-management and resilience initiatives.
My professional background across education, leadership, wellbeing and personal development allows me to bring together organisational understanding with a strongly human-centred approach.
Whether the focus is supporting students, strengthening staff wellbeing, developing leaders or creating a healthier organisational culture, the intention remains the same: to work thoughtfully with the people behind the roles, while respecting the wider environment in which they operate.
If you are not yet certain what kind of support would be right for you, you do not need to decide before we speak. Sometimes the first conversation is simply about understanding where you are — and what might help you move from there.
If that feels like the right place to begin, you are warmly invited to book a free consultation.
